Shikarbadi

History

Shikarbadi Hotel is a Royal Retreat of the HRH Group of Hotels. The hotel nestles on the foothills of the Aravalli mountain range that provides a picturesque backdrop to this sanctuary-resort. Shikarbadi was formerly one of the hunting lodges of the Royal Family of Mewar; it continues to preserve the rugged ambience of a sanctuary. The wildlife at Shikarbadi Hotel - spotted deer, nilgai, monkeys, peacocks, migratory birds' adds an unmistakable touch of adventure in a hotel far from the hustle-bustle of city life. The Hotel has a private airstrip and houses one of the oldest polo fields and cricket fields of Udaipur.

There is one Family Suite - art Deco suite with two bedrooms and a private terrace; three Deluxe Suites With art Deco suite and a private balcony and Deluxe Rooms - Chalet style rooms overlooking the Deer Park and the wildlife sanctuary.

Cuisine

Known for its traditional Mewari cuisine, the hotel's restaurants are very popular with the locals. The open-air restaurant, Risala, overlooking the distant Sajjangarh Fort has a campfire and bar-be-que on winter evenings. Cheetal Restaurant serves Indian and Mewari Cuisine. Baithak Restaurant serves Chinese & Continental Cuisine and Fast Food.
