History:

A magnificent palace lying at the southern end of the Palace Complex of Udaipur city - Shiv Niwas Palace originally served as the royal residence of Maharana Fateh Singhji. It was much later that the late Maharana Bhagwat Singhji envisaged the palace as a venue for entertaining visitors to the city, which led to its conversion into a fine Heritage Hotel.
